RED BULL AND WIGAN WARRIORS

Red Bull organised a brutal training camp for the Wing Warriors rugby league squad.

After spending a couple of days at the Red Bull hardline site Dinas Mawddwy, carrying 150kg logs and 14kg buckets of water up and down the side of of a mountain, AberAdventures organised a slightly more tranquil day of slight rest for the team.

The team underwent breath training with the big wave legend, Andrew Cotton. A who knows more than a thing or two about staying calm under pressure.

After a safety brief and initial training with AberAdventures coaches, the team headed out into Aberystwyth harbour, on a cold grey December day, for a number of paddle board activities.

Being ultra competitive this invloved several paddle board races!

AberAdventures organised the day including:

• Use of changing and workshop rooms with Aberystwth University.

• Harbour permissions, to ensure no conflict of interest with other water users.

• In water lifeguard cover from AberAdventures staff.

• Shore cover from Aberystwyth Coastguard SAR.

• Supplying wetsuit and paddle board equipment to the team.

• Paddle board instruction and activities.
