SI (SURF WIZARD)
AberAdventures owner and head coach, with 30+ years personal experience surfing all around the globe.
An experienced competitive surfer. Si has the experience and knowledge to provide excellent coaching from beginner through to competition level.
International Surfing Association Level 2 Surf Coach. SLSGB Surf Liteguard and British Stand up Paddle Association Level 2, Tour and Race Coach.
Other interests; his family, trail running, mountain biking, yoga and swimming.

GRAY (G MAN)
AberAdventures Owner.
Having been involved in sports since he could stand on his own two. In 1991 on a freezing November day, hailstones the size of conkers, and his backside hanging out of 2 borrowed wetsuits, Grays 1st true experience of surfing was had.
Since then Graeme has enjoyed and shared the sport with many. Mainly surfing in Wales at weekends, and whenever conditions looked good. Further a field trips to France, Canaries, Hebrides, Orkneys, Portugal, New Zealand, Hawaii, Cuba, Australia and Indonesia have all fed the hunger and the respect of what we have on our own doorstep.

A hugely experienced surf coach of 10 years, and by far the most organised member of the crew.
Matt is an incredible surfer, sponsored by SBS boards, Daisy's Cold Water Surf Cream, For Sport CBD.
He always looking to improve his personal skill set. He has a massive bank of surf coaching knowledge and coaching skills to perfectly suit every age and ability. Lessons with Matt guarantee precise coaching.
With an innate understanding of every idividuals, body mechanics and aspitrations. Matt will bring out the best in you, leaving you exhilerated, and fired up for more surfing.
Matt is also an extremely busy guy, and also works at Aberystwyth University, where he specialises in Galciology. He is also climbing instructor and mountain leader.
When Matt's not ripping the local waves apart, he can found climbing in North Wales or buying a new surfboard. Matt has a lot of surf boards!

DR. MATT
Cerys, a talented surfer hailing from Bude, Cornwall, embodies both style and power in the water. With a deep connection to her Welsh heritage, she returned to study at Aberystwyth University, blending her academic pursuits with her love for surfing.
As an International Surfing Association Level 1 coach and a SLSGB beach lifeguard, Cerys showcases a profound commitment to the sport.
Her coaching approach is characterized by patience and a laid-back demeanor, making her lessons enjoyable and accessible. With a diverse skill set and infectious enthusiasm, Cerys is dedicated to fostering a supportive environment for her students, ensuring they not only improve their surfing abilities but also develop a genuine passion for the ocean.
Whether in the water or on land, her love for surfing shines through, inspiring others to embrace the ocean with confidence.

CERYS
Bethan, a talented local shredder and the daughter of G-Man, has been riding the waves since she could stand. Her passion for surfing has taken her around the globe, allowing her to embrace diverse surf cultures and experiences.
Currently, she is pursuing her studies in motor sports engineering at Swansea University, while also serving as an RNLI beach lifeguard. With her extensive RNLI rescue and casualty care training, Bethan ensures that everyone is in safe hands while enjoying the ocean.
As an International Surfing Association Level 1 Coach and a SLSGB beach lifeguard, her lessons are not only informative but also filled with inspiration, encouraging others to confidently progress their surfing. Whether she’s coaching or lifeguarding, Bethan’s dedication to surfing and safety shines through in everything she does.
BETHAN
Mostyn is a local lad who has made a name for himself in the vibrant surf community of Borth. His passion for surfing blossomed as he progressed through various surf lessons, ultimately becoming an exceptional assistant surf coach.
Known for his enthusiasm and dedication, he has earned his International Surfing Association Level 1 Assistant Coach certification, along with the Surf Life Saving Great Britain Surf Coach Safety and Rescue Award.
In addition to surfing, Mos is an avid mountain biker, showcasing his skills and love for both sports. His commitment to teaching others and sharing the joy of surfing has made him a respected figure among aspiring surfers and a beloved member of the community.
This year Mos is having some time out, working for a local mountain bike campsite.
MOSTYN
Ethan is our newest surf coach, though his journey with Aber Adventures started back in 2021 when he moved to Aber for university and took his very first lesson with Cerys and Si. Safe to say, he was hooked—he ended up joining almost every winter lesson that year (unless a storm stopped us!). Since then, Ethan and Cerys have become best mates and roomies for several years.
Ethan has surfed all across Europe and spent a year living in Vancouver, exploring the breaks at Sombrio and Tofino (and occasionally skipping a class or two to catch the best swells!). On land, you’ll find him playing the piano, swimming (and having the odd drink) with Cerys, or finishing up his Master's in GIS and Remote Sensing.
Driven by a deep love for nature and the outdoors, Ethan is always happiest when he’s out in the water.
Ethan is an SLSGB Surf Lifeguard and ISA Level 1 Surf Coach. Lessons with Ethan leave everyone buzzing for more, with his easy going and logical way of coaching.
